Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the Tokyara Discord bot and its website. By adding the bot to a server or using the website, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Tokyara is a Discord bot for moderation, security and community engagement, together with a configuration website. The service is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of permanent availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service at any time.

2. Acceptable use

By using Tokyara, you agree to:

comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines;
not use the bot to harass, harm, distribute illegal content or attack other servers;
not attempt to bypass, hack or overload the bot or the website;
not abusively automate commands (spam, scripts) to distort rewards.

We may block a user or a server that breaks these rules, without notice.

3. Accounts and servers

To configure a server on the website, you must have the “Manage Server” permission on that server. You are responsible for the settings you apply and for their effect on your community.

4. Virtual currency (credits)

Credits are an internal virtual currency with no real monetary value.
They cannot be exchanged for money, refunded as money, or transferred outside of Tokyara.
We may adjust the earning rates, prices and behaviour of credits at any time.
Credits obtained through fraud, bugs or abuse may be removed.

5. Premium and purchases

Premium grants extra benefits, described on the website. It can be obtained with credits, as a gift, or through a real-money purchase.
Real-money purchases are handled by an external payment provider (for example Stripe). Payment is subject to that provider’s terms.
Digital products: Premium and credits are delivered immediately. In accordance with applicable law, by purchasing and requesting immediate delivery of digital content, you waive your right of withdrawal once delivery has taken place.
We may change offers and prices. Purchases already made are not affected retroactively.

No real-money payment is active until a payment provider is configured. Until then, only credit-based offers work.

6. User content

You remain responsible for the content you publish through the bot (announcements, server descriptions, reviews). You must not post illegal, hateful or misleading content. We may remove content that breaks these rules.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided without warranty. We are not liable for data loss, interruptions, or damages related to the use of, or inability to use, the bot, to the extent permitted by law. You use Tokyara at your own risk.

Bot staff interventions

Members of the Tokyara staff team can use the bot's moderation commands in any server where Tokyara is installed, even without holding the matching Discord permission in that server. This is meant for support and abuse handling. When the bot's role is placed above every other role of the server, staff members may also add role permissions they do not hold themselves in that server. Every such use is written to the server's default log channel and to the bot's internal staff journal. The server owner can turn this off at any time in the General module ("Allow the Tokyara team to use moderation commands here"); only the server owner can change that setting.

8. Suspension

We may restrict, suspend or remove access to the service for any user or server that breaks these terms, threatens the security of the service, or harms other users.

9. Changes

These terms may change. Significant changes will be announced on the support server or the website. By continuing to use the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
